Jeong Park ( IEEE Student Member 2000) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in optics from University of Rochester , Rochester, NY in 1998 and 2000, respectively. Since 2001, he has been pursuing the Ph.D. degree in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering at University of California, Irvine. From 2000 to 2001, he worked at the Lucent Technology Bell Laboratories, Murray Hill, NJ, as a fiber optical researcher working on 1.6 Tb/s Raman/ EDFA project and he developed Amplified Spontaneous Emission (ASE) Source for medical optic research. His current research interest is in thermal analysis and packaging of optoelectronic devices.
